Setting up my festival booth is one of the most rewarding parts of the artist’s journey. It’s where my artwork moves from the quiet studio space into the vibrant energy of a festival or art show. Each setup is unique—the natural light shifts, the breeze changes the atmosphere, and I carefully listen to how the space wants to be arranged for the best flow and impact.
Before packing for any art fair or festival, I thoughtfully select which paintings and pieces to bring. Not every artwork travels with me; I tune into the colors, shapes, and stories that feel ready to be shared with a new audience. Some pieces are bold and attention-grabbing, while others invite quiet reflection—all chosen to create a balanced and compelling artist booth. When I arrive at the festival site, I take time to walk the booth space before unpacking. This allows me to sense the energy and decide how best to position my artwork for maximum engagement. I start by placing the largest canvases or the most vibrant functional pieces as anchors—these act as focal points or “visual altars.” From there, I layer in smaller works, carefully considering flow, visibility, and audience experience. Setting up a festival booth is a creative act in itself. I don’t rush the process but instead breathe with it, letting the walls, tables, and colors form a welcoming environment. The goal is more than just displaying art; it’s to create a healing and hopeful space where visitors feel invited to connect, reflect, and be inspired. If you visit my booth at any art festival or craft fair, know that everything you see has been placed with intention and care. It’s not just a booth—it’s a sanctuary of creativity, presence, and possibility designed to welcome you in. In love and light, always and in all ways... Artist Penny FireHorse

A Pause Before the Paint
Before a brush touches the canvas or a single drop of color flows, I pause. I take a deep, grounding breath—not just to center myself, but to feel the heartbeat of the space around me. There’s something magical in that moment of stillness. It’s the place where inspiration first stirs, where silence becomes an open door to something greater. For me, that’s where the creative current begins to shimmer and speak. Painting with Energy and Emotion My art is a dance between energy and emotion. I work in layers—layers of paint, yes, but also layers of presence and feeling. Sometimes the colors drift in like a gentle whisper, other times they surge forward like a joyful tide. I never try to force them. Instead, I listen and follow, letting my swipe techniques become a flowing, intuitive prayer in motion. Each movement feels like light gliding across the canvas, alive and breathing. More Than Visual Beauty—A Vessel of Healing Every piece I create is more than something to look at—it’s meant to feel. To hold a pocket of peace. To radiate hope. To wrap the viewer in warmth. My materials may be acrylics, glass, or mixed media, but my true medium is intention. I choose vibrant colors not only for their beauty but because they hum with life. They pulse with memory, joy, and possibility. Whether I’m painting a canvas or transforming a functional object into a piece of art, my wish is always the same: that it becomes a vessel of healing, joy, and connection. Creating Art That Listens and Speaks If you’ve ever felt that art could be more than decoration—if you’ve sensed it could be a companion, a healer, or a quiet guide—then we’re already speaking the same language. At Cosmic Spark Designs, I create custom pieces that honor your stories, celebrate your milestones, and mark the turning points in your journey. Every creation is infused with meaning and crafted with care. This is art that listens. Art that speaks gently. Art that glows from within. If your heart is ready, I’d be honored to create something beautiful with you. In love and light, always and in all ways... Artist Penny FireHorse Every room has a rhythm.
Some feel grounded, quiet. Others crackle with energy. When I create art, I listen for that rhythm before I ever choose a canvas or color. It’s the same inner tuning I use when imagining how a piece will live in a space. Because to me, art isn’t just decoration—it’s the heartbeat of the room. It shapes how we feel, how we move, and how we rest within a space. A quiet hallway may call for soft tones and gentle textures—art that guides you without interrupting your thoughts. A kitchen, buzzing with stories and movement, might welcome bold strokes and warm colors that invite joy and connection. In bedrooms or meditation corners, I lean into slower, more intentional strokes—tones that soothe, textures that breathe. These pieces are created to hold space, not take it. Living rooms often carry the emotional core of a home. They hold laughter, conversation, and sometimes quiet grief. For these walls, I often use fluid movement and layered light to reflect life’s complexities. Functional pieces—like hand-painted teapot sets, trays, or drinking glasses—can add color and intention without overwhelming the space. At Cosmic Spark Designs, I create with deep care. Every commission is more than a product—it’s a collaboration between your space, your energy, and my creative flow. If you have a room asking for more—more calm, more warmth, more presence—I’d be honored to craft something that meets it with intention. Together, we can bring soul and story into every corner of your home. As Always and In All Ways... Love and Light, Artist Penny FireHorse |
